This Summer, Look Beautiful and Feel Beautiful

Summers are the best part of every year. Every summer brings something new, something different, and gives us something to cherish all our life. Apart from being one of the most exciting seasons of the year, Indian summers are also very harsh and the high temperature brings its own share of problems.

Other than dehydration, most annoying are skin and hair problems. The rays of the sun have an adverse affect on our skin, which further results in tanning, rough, dull, dark and dry skin. As soon as we step outside we can feel the heat literally burning our skin. Skin care in summers definitely calls for special attention. It’s also very important to avoid harsh chemicals while treating our skin, and stick instead to natural remedies.

So here are a few remedies which will help you keep those skin problems at bay –

1. Aloe Vera

This simple herb helps in regulating oil glands’ production and considered to be good for both oily and dry skin. All you’ll have to do is apply fresh aloe vera gel all over your face and neck and then wash it off with warm water once it has dried. It is the most gentle way of cleaning the skin and aloe vera gel is also a natural moisturizer.

2. Sandalwood (Chandan) Pack

Sandalwood has amazing soothing properties and it can help in getting rid of blemishes and skin tan. Mix some sandalwood powder with rose water to make a thin paste. Apply this paste on your face and leave it  overnight. You can wash it in the morning with lukewarm water.

3. Besan (Gram flour) Pack

If you’re prone to pimples during summers, then this pack will be perfect for you. It has antibacterial properties which will help clear up your skin and cure pimples. Mix gram flour with warm honey and apply the paste to your face for 20 minutes. You can wash it off thoroughly with cold water.

4. Tomato Pulp Pack 

This is the best homemade pack for oily skin. It will help you to remove tanning and give a healthy shine to your skin. Just take tomato pulp and add a drop of honey to it. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it for about 15 minutes. You can then rinse it off with cold water.

5. Almond Oil Therapy 

This is a very effective way to protect the delicate skin under your eyes. Just dip a piece of cotton in almond oil and gently massage the under-eye area with it. It is a great way to cleanse the skin and remove unseen dirt.
